From Motion to UX
I’m Q, a multi-disciplinary designer with 10+ years of corporate and freelance experience.
I began my career as a graphic designer and storyboard artist at a TV network, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and art direction. This naturally led me to motion design, where I learned how to tell stories visually, guide attention, and create rhythm and flow.
I’ve been fortunate to work alongside talented, passionate product designers and to receive guidance that encouraged me to take on projects blending creativity with strategy.
My background in art direction and motion design gives me a unique perspective on visual hierarchy, interaction, and engagement, helping me craft experiences that are not only functional but also memorable and meaningful.
By combining these skills with storytelling, empathy, and problem-solving, I design products that feel alive and connect with users in a thoughtful, human-centered way.
What I Do When I’m Not Working
Outside of design, I’m all about movement, creativity, and curiosity. I love running, analyzing my stats, and pushing my limits, while bouldering keeps me problem-solving in a hands-on way. I explore slower, tactile creativity through pottery and life drawing sessions, and when I’m in nature, hiking helps me recharge.
Music is another passion. I enjoy playing instruments, especially lead guitar, which lets me express creativity in a different rhythm. On quieter days, I’m often listening to podcasts, learning something new, and staying inspired.
